This required interaction course, the first in a sequence of three, develops an understanding of basic design principles, code language, and software used in the creation of web-based communications. Through assigned projects students will understand the complex nature of interactive design spaces and continue to apply an understanding of typographic form, message, and organizational systems in a dynamic user interface experience. Concepts and techniques of appropriate hardware and software are integrated into exercises that aid in the creation of well-crafted messages applied to informed design solutions.
