Calculating your Grade Point Average

Grade point averages are calculated by multiplying the number equivalent of the letter grade by the number of credit hours for the course (this yields grade points). The semester grade point average is computed by dividing the total number of grade points earned at CCS during a given semester by the total number of the credit hours for all courses in which the student received letter grades taken during the semester.

DFN 1013A-(3 X 3.7) = 11.10
DFN 1101.5C+(1.5 x 2.30) = 3.45
DFN 1111.5B(1.5 x 3.00) = 4.50
DFN 1153A(3 x 4.00) = 12.00
DEN 1083D+(3 x 1.30) = 3.90
DID 1253B(3 x 3.00) = 9.00
