Making Module List Visible in Canvas

On your Canvas Course Home Page, you will notice a new Module List directly below the Weekly Modules banner that creates links to pages for you.

You have to update this in order for all of your Modules to appear on the list. Below are the steps to help you.

Step 1:

On your Homepage, click the “Edit” Button at the top.

Step 2:

Click the yellow rocket ship that pops up in the upper right corner. This will open the Design Tools sidebar where we will make adjustments to the Module List.

Step 3:

Click on the gears icon in the upper right corner. In the “Design Tools Settings” flyout menu click “Advanced” and then close the flyout by clicking the “X” in the top right corner.

Step 4:

Click on the “</>” icon in the Design Tools menu. Then scroll down to the “Module List” option. Click on “Module List” to expand the accordion.

Step 5:

In the Design Tools Sidebar under “Module List”

you will see all of your modules listed. In order for them

to appear on your course homepage, click the eyeball icon.

The module will then appear on your course homepage.

Students will not be able to see the module content though,

until the modules are published. The Design Tools Sidebar

will show you which modules are published in the column

to the left.

Step 6:

After you have made your modules visible, click the “

“X” to close the Design Tools Sidebar, then click “Save” at

the bottom of your Canvas course page to complete the

update.

Your modules will now appear on your course home page with appropriate links all set to go! It should look something like this:
