DME-247 BIOMIMICRY LAB

A true collaborative multidisciplinary lab. ,Through regular field trips, visiting artists,,lectures, studio-based assignments, and group,critiques discovery is accomplished as a,collective effort. Individuals work together on,assignment and project centered teams; “ad hoc”,,fluid partnerships of two or three individuals,that rotate across the semester.,Partnerships identify goals, develop ideas,,explore alternatives, as well as experiment with,materials, and examine processes to develop,successful creative and technical strategies.,Partnerships support one another with,documentation, and presentation of outcomes. Each,team is responsible for no less than two unique,solutions per assignment; one contribution per,member. Weekly critiques bring teams together to,review results, share analysis and propose new,goals/objectives. Vital group feedback sparks,ideas, suggests alternative paths, and generates,support and critical thinking. Teams utilize,every opportunity, direct observations,,institutional and digital resources.
