Position: Video Production Technician (Work-Study Position)
Department: Educational Technology + InnovationSummary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic work-study student to assist with video production and post-production processes for our faculty recording studio. The candidate will work alongside and learn directly from an experienced lead student technician, assisting faculty with video recording, editing, captioning, and uploading finalized media content.
Duties and Responsibilities:Provide technical support to faculty using the recording studio, including set up, operation, and troubleshooting of audio/visual equipment.
Edit and enhance video content using Adobe Premiere to ensure high quality and consistency with institutional standards.
Manage and organize digital media assets including video, audio, and graphics files.
Caption video to ensure accessibility.
Coordinate with the Educational Technology Department to ensure consistency and quality across all media content.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of recording studio equipment.
Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in multimedia production and educational technology.
Currently enrolled in CCS and approved for work-study by the Financial Aid Office.
Prior experience or demonstrated interest in video production, including knowledge of video recording and editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere.
Familiarity with Google and YouTube platforms.
Basic understanding of audio/visual equipment, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively assist faculty members.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Interest in art and design education is a plus.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time, work-study position with flexible hours, depending on the academic schedule and studio usage. Some weekend or evening hours may be required based on faculty needs.
