Position: CTW Peer Tutors – Apply NOW for Fall 2026
Department: Center for Tutoring and WritingSummary:
Undergraduate students (Juniors or Seniors by Fall 2026) work as Peer Tutors, assisting current CCS students with coursework, academic & creative skills, mentorship, as well as navigating college life.
Approximately 4-8 hours worked per week.
Additional hours may be available for involvement with outreach events, workshops, and other special projects.

Tutor students in software, traditional media, and liberal arts
Assist students in understanding assignments
Demonstrate techniques and processes
Promote and represent the CTW during outreach events, workshops, visiting classes, and within departments
Greet and assist visitors to the CTW
Help students with factors that affect academic performance such as productivity, study skills, focus, goal setting, etc.
Provide mentorship for students (class selection, general academic advise)
Provide a high level of customer service
Create promotional materials
Assist with additional duties as needed or arise
Completed 2 years at CCS
Minimum 3.5 GPA (a lower GPA may be considered if you have high academic standing in your major)
Must have excellent grades in major
Responsible, reliable and punctual
Trustworthy to occasionally work unsupervised
Excellent interpersonal skills including patience and the ability to listen, demonstrate, and guide
Proactive
Must provide a high level of customer service
Must be registered for at least 6 credits at CCS and have a strong academic standing (3.5+ GPA preferred)
Preference is for candidates who have completed 2 years of study at CCS
Available to work a minimum of 4 hours per week
