Position: Department Assistant
Department: FilmSummary:
The Film Department Assistant is responsible for assisting the Program Manager and Department Chair with social media content creation and management.
Duties and Responsibilities:Document Departmental events, workshops, visiting artist talks, and student film shoots (documentation, bts, etc).
Prepare film still and excerpts from student work for social media.
Editing photos and videos for online distribution.
Assist with archiving student work.
Student exhibition support, as needed.
Sophomore + status.
Working knowledge of cameras, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign), Instagram (social media strategy, effective posts), and Google Workspace.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must be self-motivated and reliable.
Must be available a minimum of 5 hours per week to visit classes and other events for documentation purposes. Hours are otherwise flexible for post-production, content prep, and archiving.
