Position: CTW Peer Tutors
Department: Center for Tutoring and WritingSummary:
Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors assist current CCS students with coursework, academic & creative skills, as well as navigating college life.
*Winter 25 start date: Seeking COMMUNICATION and TRANSPORTATION Design majors. Applicants from other majors will be considered for W25 based on availability.
**Fall 25 start date: Students from ALL MAJORS are encouraged to apply now to be considered for F25.
Duties and Responsibilities:Tutoring students in software, traditional media, and liberal arts
Assisting students in understanding assignments
Demonstrating techniques and processes
Greeting and assisting visitors to the CTW
Helping students with factors that affect academic performance such as productivity, study skills, and focus
Creating promotional materials
Promoting and representing the CTW during outreach events, workshops, visiting classes, and within departments
Assisting with additional duties as needed
Junior or Senior (at time of start date) undergraduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Responsible, reliable and punctual
Excellent interpersonal skills including patience and the ability to listen, demonstrate, and guide
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Minimum two years of enrollment completed at CCS by start date
Must be registered for at least 6 credits at CCS
Must be a junior or senior by start date (sophomores are encouraged to apply for Fall 25)
For F25 start date, must be available to attend training at the end of August (part zoom, part in-person)
For F25 start date, highly encouraged to assist with New Student Orientation and Welcome Week activities at the end of August 2025
