,OLD TECH/NEW TECH-HYBRID PRINTMAKING ,,
,Students with foundational,experience in print techniques will deepen their,skills and expand their creative expression.,Building on,basic knowledge of materials and processes, this,course explores digital and photographic,approaches to,printmaking methods such as machine-created,matrices, cyanotype, photo intaglio, and,lithography, with,an emphasis on combining digital and analog,techniques. Students will refine their technical,abilities while,developing a personal artistic style. The course,fosters a collaborative and supportive environment,where,students receive individual feedback, critique,,and guidance as they explore the versatility of,print media.,In addition to in-class demonstrations and studio,work, readings, lectures, and discussion will,emphasize,conceptual aspects within contemporary,printmaking, providing context for their own,contribution.,Conceptual and compositional quality will be,emphasized, in order to produce work that is equal,in artistic,merit and technical proficiency to the idea or,concept being communicated.
