The Ed Tech Team creates and delivers online workshops and training sessions for faculty a few times each semester. Sessions generally last about one hour and are interactive; providing demonstrations and time for questions.

Creating Community Using Peer Review Interactive Workshop
This workshop was held on February 10, 2023 and discussed the benefits of integrating peer review into the classroom. Faculty were also shown how to use Peer Review settings in Canvas Assignments that allow for features like anonymous reviews, rubrics, and more.
The process demonstrated in this workshop includes the following steps:
- Creating an Assignment
- Adjusting Assignment settings to allow for peer review
- Setting up a Rubric for peer reviewers
- Viewing the peer reviewed assignment in Canvas SpeedGrader
Let Canvas Do the Math: How to Leverage the Canvas Grade Book Interactive Workshop
This workshop was held on November 30, 2022 and walked faculty through how to use Assignment Groups to create weighted columns in the Canvas Grade Book for accurate grade calculations.
The process demonstrated in this workshop includes the following steps:
- Creating Assignment Groups in the “Assignments” tab
- Creating Canvas Assignment Pages out of 100 point values
- Importing Assignment Pages into a Module
- Viewing weighted columns in the Canvas Grade Book
Saving Time with Rubrics: How to Grade Smarter, Not Harder Interactive Workshop
This workshop was held on November 16, 2022 and walked faculty through the rubric development process, and how to add rubrics to assignments in their Canvas course for proper grading and substantive feedback for students.
The process demonstrated in this workshop includes the following steps:
- Establishing the skills that are being assessed in the rubric
- Creating rubric criteria
- Creating rubric point values
- Attaching a Canvas Rubric to a Canvas Assignment Page
