Fines By Patron Type

Students

• Students will not incur fines on overdue items in the general circulating collection.
• All lost or unreturned items will be charged the replacement cost of the item.
  • No borrowing is allowed for accounts owing $15 or more.
  • Accounts must be paid in full in order to receive transcripts upon graduation.
• Items checked out through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)  will be subject to ILL policies for returns and fines.

Faculty/Staff

• Faculty and Staff will not incur daily fines on overdue items in the general circulating collection.
• All lost or unreturned items will be charged the replacement cost of the item
  • Policy for patrons that repeatedly keep books long overdue or recalled:
    • Patrons will be contacted and given two warnings.
    • The library will contact the department head if overdue issues continue after two warnings.
    • Library privileges may be reviewed.
  • Items checked out through Interlibrary Loan (ILL) will be subject to ILL policies for returns and fines.

• Alumni and Infopass holders will incur daily fines on overdue items in the general circulating collection.

recalled books

• Patrons have the option to recall print books that are currently checked out to another patron
• If you receive an email notification that a book you have checked out has been recalled by another patron, it must be returned within 1 week. Fines will be $1/day for books not returned within that time frame.
