Non-CCS Student Participation in Faculty-Led Programs

Non-CCS students may participate in faculty-led programs if there is space available on the trip provided that the requirements below are met.

Eligibility

  1. Non-CCS students must either be a CCS alumni or a currently registered student at another institution of higher education.
  2. Parents or legal guardians of current CCS student trip participants are not eligible to participate in faculty-led programs.
  3. Non-CCS students must apply and be accepted as a guest student or non-degree seeking student prior to applying to participate in a faculty-led program.
  4. Background checks may be conducted as requested by CCS.
  5. Approval by the faculty member(s) leading the trip is required for all non-CCS student participants.

All participants in any of the faculty-led programs must pay all associated costs included in the specific trip information (travel costs, fees, participant charges, etc.). All participants, both currently registered CCS students and Guest students will be required to pay the tuition costs for the trip.

Program participants that require a companion as an American’s with Disabilities accommodation will need to first file for ADA Accommodations and receive approval from the Assistant Vice President of Campus Life at dlong@ccsdetroit.edu. ADA companions will be required to pay all travel and service fees related to the trip but will not be required to apply and register as a CCS Guest student.

Exceptions to these requirements due to extenuating circumstances require approval by the Director of Global Student Services and Support.
