The Model, Prop, and Costume Office provides models and materials for student projects/productions and classroom/faculty instruction.
Costume and Prop Checkout
Reservations for materials can be made one (1) week ahead of a desired pick up. Reservations can be made by calling the Model, Prop, and Costume Office at 313.664.7601, scheduling a consultation at calendly.com, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Materials can be checked out for up to five (5) days. Students may request an extension one time per rental so long as the request is made before the scheduled return. Students are not allowed to check out the same item consecutive days in a row after a return.
Faculty and Staff may reserve materials for use, however if a student needs the same reserved materials for assignment or project completion, the Faculty or Staff reservation will be cancelled.
Students and faculty are required to have their CCS ID badge present in order to check out props and costumes.
Students must sign a rental agreement form in order to checkout materials. If the rental agreement and materials are abused, check out privileges can be revoked indefinitely.
Students may request to hire models from the CCS Model Database by contacting the Model Coordinator. Students are responsible for compensating models hired for their project/production.
Faculty may request models for their class by completing the Model Criteria Form.
Late Fee Policy
If a student is late with materials, the student must call or email the Model Coordinator to set up a new return appointment and a seven (7) day suspension from the prop room will be issued from the date materials are returned.
The Model, Prop, and Costume Office does not accept payment for lost or damaged item fees. All fees will be handled through the Business Office. An invoice will be given to the student to present to the Business Office for payment.
