Supervisor Evaluation – Vince Carducci

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Score Comment
Quality of WorkLEADING (5)

I strive to produce high quality deliverables meeting required deadlines. Due to the absence of an Art Education Chair, I assisted Lisa with the completion of time-sensitive AE reports. I also created new Liberal Arts and Art Ed handouts used at Information Sessions and recruiting events.

DependabilityLEADING (5)

I can be depended on to complete any task given, to the best of my ability. I can be trusted to follow through and provide updates to help with completion.

Job KnowledgeSTRENGTH (4)

I have a strong understanding of my job responsibilities and strive to keep learning about any new processes, technology updates, or the constant revising of teacher certification requirements by the Michigan Department of Education.

Interactive/Effective CommunicationLEADING (5)

Engaging with others is an important part of my job. I strive to be an effective communicator who welcomes ideas and feedback. I am comfortable with engaging others in many different settings: meetings, Info Sessions, email communication, phone conversations, or just encouraging students on campus.

Emotional IntelligenceLEADING (5)

I am aware of my actions and strive to make healthy choices that promote professionalism and healthy interactions.

Management AbilityDEMONSTRATING (3)
TeamworkSTRENGTH (4)

Working as a team is important to being a my job as a DA since I share office space and have to perform similar tasks as other DAs. We support eachother, share ideas, and offer help when needed.

AgilitySTRENGTH (4)

I was able to help keep the Art Ed Department moving forward during the search for a new Art Ed Chair. I assisted Lisa Catani, Interim Chair, as we met with students, handled legal situations, interviewed new adjuncts, and completed important documents for the Michigan Dept. of Education.

Goals

    1. Personal Goal: Enter an art piece in the CCS Alumni Show. I have set this goal before but not reached it. I want to start visualizing a submission early, keep track of progress and meet the deadline
    1. Personal/Work Related Goal: Attend the VisionDC conference Summer20. Funds submitted but not yet approved. Will re-address with new AE Chair this fall, discuss budget, and plan as needed.

Accomplishments

    1. The ability to help maintain the function of the Art Ed Department during long search for new AE Chair. The many extra duties were done well and in a timely fashion to properly prepare for new leader.
    1. The ability to maintain the duties of two very different departments with two different Chairs so that both departments function smoothly.

Comments

Continue with established meetings to stay informed and on task for Liberal Arts duties. Feel free to add any new tasks as needed. Discuss with new AE Chair best ways to manage DA duties for both Departments to continue to function well.
