Supervisor Evaluation – Vince Carducci

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

My environment is somewhat segregated from most of our colleagues so I could work on making a greater effort to engage with faculty and colleagues to encourage and compliment them more. This also applies to finding more ways to communicate with adjuncts who are not in the building during my hours.

I feel I am very adept at multitasking and responding quickly to unexpected situations. We have had urgent shipments which needed to go out to a client and circumstances arise with technology and adjuncts which I have quickly and efficiently resolved.

Goals

    1. Establish some new methods to encourage more timely adjunct and faculty compliance to department requests.
    1. Refresh the mentoring in the department by identifying some group activities which will improve the student/faculty relationship as well as bringing the cohort together.
    1. Continue work toward completing more LinkedIn Learning modules on Project Management
    1. Continue working on personal goals for improvement in Photoshop skills.

Accomplishments

    1. Early in the year I facilitated the meetings and discussions revising the current course descriptions and course outcomes with the team where we charted the curriculum and refined current information.

Comments

My skill foundation is solid but In addition I would like to continue working on improving my artistic skills in photoshop and also to take the opportunity to use the resources provided by the college in adobe and project management training through linkedin to earn project management certification.
