Supervisor Evaluation – Tanecia Nunlee

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Quality of WorkSTRENGTH (4)

Since I’ve been hired, I believe I positively display professionalism with staff, students, and other stakeholders, as well as a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and self-motivation to getting tasks complete. However, I could use improvement in my confidence when delivering information.

DependabilitySTRENGTH (4)

Since I’ve been hired, I believe that any task I am asked to do gets done with little to no negative feedback. However, I have had one or two tasks that I can think of that were completed a little after the deadline.

Job KnowledgeSTRENGTH (4)

Since starting in my role in December 2018, I have increasingly learned my role to a better understanding to date, but there is always room for improvement and opportunities to learn.

Interactive/Effective CommunicationLEADING (5)

Since I’ve been hired, I do not believe I have any trouble with my interactions or sharing information. I am open to other ideas and feedback. I may internally, at times, feel less than confident in my delivery of information, but I make sure to be as clear as possible with my ideas.

Emotional IntelligenceLEADING (5)

Since I’ve been hired, in all my interactions, I do my best to always react with tact, empathy, and understanding.

Management AbilitySTRENGTH (4)

Since I’ve been hired, I have been concentrating on learning my position and learning from others before I start trying to lead groups or discussions. At this time, I believe I am ready to begin sharing, implementing, and leading discussion on my ideas. Running an FYE course this Fall will help.

TeamworkLEADING (5)

Since I’ve been hired, I have been a team player and enjoyed doing my share of work to contribute to the overall goal of the group.

AgilityLEADING (5)

This role requires agility as changes happen very frequently. Since I’ve been hired, I believe I’ve been able to adapt to changes quickly.

Goals

    1. To be able to problem solve more frequently with little to no assistance by the next evaluation.
    1. To take on major projects of significance which result in positive impacts for our department by the end of the 2019-20 Academic Year.
    1. To increase my knowledge and learn more ideas of how to utilize my role by attending more conferences and workshops by the end of Fall 2019, for example, the NACADA Annual Conference.
    1. To present my ideas and various topics at meetings learned from conferences and workshops this Academic Year.

Accomplishments

    1. Since starting my role in December 2018, I have learned a great deal about working in higher education.
    1. Since I’ve been hired, I have been working at various campus functions, which has helped me gain an understanding of different departmental activities and functions.
    1. Since I’ve been hired, I’ve been able to help student matriculate through their program and successfully performed audits and led triage meetings to ensure student success.
    1. Since I’ve been hired, I have successfully performed registration and schedule updates for current and incoming students.

Comments

In order to help me achieve my career development goals, please take advantage of opportunities to teach me something that is new to me, for example, ways to work and access Colleague that will help you with your tasks and lighten your workload. Also, have me attend more conferences and workshops.
