It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

In the Facilities department team members need to be able to quickly react and make changes on a daily basis. I feel that I do a good job meeting these requirements.

Goals

    1. I am somewhat disorganized and need to work on organizing and creating files for my work space.
    1. Create a list of current contracts and list renewal dates so that the department and be proactive in the renewal process.
    1. Review contracts for elevators for rebidding process to be completed by 4/28/20.
    1. Provide pricing and project information for Capital budget process by 2/20/19

Accomplishments

    1. I have taken over the roll of overseeing the departments operating budget since 2018 even though I was not assigned to or asked to take this over.
    1. I worked with the elevator contractors on the WB elevators and were able to get the job completed and saved the College $48,000 in costs.
    1. I have taken on more responsibilies for making sure camera’s are placed through-out the campus and code blue phones were updated.
    1. I have taken over ordering the furniture and carpeting for the College, meeting with vendors and working within timelines for completion.

Comments

I would like to have better communication on projects and issues that come up at the Taubman site.
