Supervisor Evaluation – Karen LaDucer

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Score Comment
Quality of Work STRENGTH (4)

I have strong interaction with the students, follow through with notes in self service, and documents in imagenow.

Dependability LEADING (5)

I am here everyday and willing to take on anything extra to assist the team.

Job Knowledge DEMONSTRATING (3)

I still feel that there is so much to learn in this position. Interacting with the students comes naturally, following through with a student on track is easy, it’s the ones that are “off” that I am getting more practice with, reaching out for assistance as needed.

Interactive/Effective Communication LEADING (5)

As concerns come up, whether in a meeting or following an appointment, we, as a team, are very open in bringing up topics, discussing them openly, and accepting everyone’s opinion to determine what is best for an individual student, a program, or our office.

Emotional Intelligence LEADING (5)

I have always been very calm when working with students, so no matter what the situation, whether the student is in a great mood or we are discussing poor grades or issues at home and need to visit the wellness center, I adjust to the situation.

Management Ability LEADING (5)

N/A

Teamwork STRENGTH (4)

I still feel that I am learning what is expected at times with regard to contributing with meetings and such. This team works very well together and has the same vision of where we want the office to go. Previous campus experience can be an asset to this campus.

Agility STRENGTH (4)

As I am still learning parts of my position, it does take me a bit longer when changes occur. Yet I will incorporate any change as they come along.

Goals

    1. Have a better working knowledge of the other programs (Evals, curriculum charts) when seeing students for walk-ins and when staff is out, so I can better assist with questions and registration.
    1. Meet with my program DA’s (and chairs) and tour the departments again, especially crafts, giving me more of the “whole” picture of the program, be more immersed in the happenings of the programs..
    1. Have a better knowledge of policies off the top of my head and be able to direct students to the proper physical locations, websites, policies, and people more quickly.
    1. Teach FYE next Fall.
