Supervisor Evaluation – Elizabeth Klos

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Score Comment
Quality of Work LEADING (5)

I consistently work hard to develop and maintain relationships with prospective college partners. As our fundraising goals continue to increase, it is important that remain professional and strategic so that I can continue to be active in bringing in new corporate and foundation partners.

Dependability STRENGTH (4)

I feel that I am very reliable. I continually complete my projects by the deadline and if needed, I will stay late to complete reports/proposals with deadlines. I am also available to assist any of my colleagues with their events/tasks campus wide.

Job Knowledge STRENGTH (4)

I think strategically about each industry or community partnership and the value those relationships will bring to the College and the students. Over the past year, I have been able to think on my feet and adjust to the changing nature of my position, while continually achieving department goals.

Interactive/Effective Communication LEADING (5)

I have developed great relationships with co-workers, external partners, etc. I continue to emphasis the importance of good communication with our external partners because it is important partners feel comfortable expressing their feelings, good or bad, as it relates to their experience with CCS.

Emotional Intelligence LEADING (5)

I believe that as a leader within the department I handle situations calmly and with sensitivity. I have also built strong relationships across campus and can listen and make decisions effectively.

Management Ability STRENGTH (4)

I feel that I work effectively with both the IA team and my team specifically. As a manager, I meet frequently to discuss departmental goals and professional goals with my team. I am readily available to share information and receive feedback. I work hard to support a collaborative work environment.

Teamwork LEADING (5)

I believe that I have developed good relationships across campus. In my own department, I work hard to build relationships and support my colleagues. I find that I am often the “go-to” person for many people on the team to discuss their professional challenges and aspirations.

Agility LEADING (5)

I am able to work quickly and efficiently often under deadline. I keep my composure and try to respond positively to the changes that are occurring both internally at CCS and externally in the world.

Goals

    1. Exceed projected revenue goal for both corporate and foundations relations by 5%.

    1. Over the past year, the Corporate and Foundation team, under my leadership, supported 33 sponsored projects to generate philanthropic revenue. Total net exceed the projected goal of $625k.
    1. In collaboration with the Associate Director of Foundations, continued to solicit existing and new foundation partners to support CCS programs.

    1. Worked closely with Design Core Detroit to develop a new a new program, City of Design Research Lab that supports the long term goals of CCS laid out in the current strategic plan.

Comments

Continue to support me and my team and provide input as needed. Additionally, help to be an advocate for CFR with leadership. Support higher level strategic conversations with corporate and foundation partners as needed. Provide consistent and valuable feedback on performance when possible.
