Supervisor Evaluation – Amy Armand

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Quality of WorkSTRENGTH (4)

I believe that this is demonstrated by my ability to manage the work load even during travel season. i respond to all emails/texts/calls within 24 hours. With the use of Salesforce I am able to stay on top of communication with all of my applicant and admits each month.

DependabilitySTRENGTH (4)

I can be depended on not only in the office but when out on the road. I attend each event and school visit. Getting there early or on time to best represent CCS.

Job KnowledgeLEADING (5)

I have been a counselor for 7 years and have helped with training new counselors. While the college is always changing and I need to constantly stay updated on each change on campus and within each department I feel very solid in what is expected of me and how to perform in my position.

Interactive/Effective CommunicationSTRENGTH (4)

I have been trying to share more when in meetings.

Emotional IntelligenceSTRENGTH (4)
Management AbilityLEARNING (2)

I accidentally clicked this one and couldn’t go back ;(

TeamworkSTRENGTH (4)

I am excited to comanage the Student Ambassadors with Brandi. I know as a team we will do well.
I feel that I am always there to help and encourage the other counselors as well as other employees in the office.

AgilitySTRENGTH (4)

While on the road anything can happen from materials not arriving or maybe the presentation doesn’t work properly. Ive learned to roll with it and still perform the best I can.

Goals

    1. Successful Co Management of Student Ambassadors
    1. More out of state applicants, admits and deposits
    1. More personal relationships built with applicants and their families
    1. Continue strong relationships with teachers and build more

Accomplishments

    1. Taking on more responsibilities as an admissions counselor such as comanaging the student ambassador program. I am also still a part of the training process with new counselors.
    1. Less fearful to speak up with ideas, question and volunteer if needed. For example I introduced the president at an Open House and Tour. I also gave presentations.
    1. Managed the goodie bags as well as catering for Teacher Fly In.
    1. Even with losing transfers as applicants and Michigan population declining I was able to pull in a solid amount of applicants that turned into strong admits and deposits.

Comments

I am happy that I will be gaining new responsibilities and I will be challenged in new ways. I am glad you see that potential in me.
I enjoyed going to the Work Life Balance retreat with the other counselors and look forward to future opportunities like that again.
