Supervisor Evaluation – Amy Armand

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Quality of WorkLEADING (5)

I respond to student communications as soon as possible and do so with professionalism, courtesy and enthusiasm. I am consistent about logging my work, promptly following up on tasks and running reports efficiently. I try to resolve/figure out things independently as much as possible.

DependabilitySTRENGTH (4)

I show up fully for work, and, if late, make up for it by staying later/taking a shorter lunch. I keep track of any overtime, due to travel/college fairs/events, and use it as soon as I can, honestly and visibly (in my calendar). I am transparent in my activities, which I log in my calendar.

Job KnowledgeDEMONSTRATING (3)

Out of humility (I’ve only been at CCS one year!), I feel confident choosing “demonstrating” as my level of job knowledge. I still have SO much to learn, but I am progressing swiftly and gradually building my CCS knowledge base. This, in turn, assists me with my recruiting efforts on the road.

Interactive/Effective CommunicationSTRENGTH (4)

With prospective students and with coworkers, I make an effort to listen actively so that I can better communicate, ie. not “waiting to talk.” I address emails/texts timely; I answer the phone if I’m present and return voicemails ASAP. I strive to be professional and friendly in all communications.

Emotional IntelligenceSTRENGTH (4)

I have a calm, friendly energy that, I hope, puts coworkers, students/families at ease. I do not get riled up easily. I remain vigilant of my own behavior and how it can affect others. I feel I successfully put students at ease and am able to relate to them in a way that is warm yet professional.

Management AbilityDEMONSTRATING (3)

I am not in a managerial position, but I vocalize ideas I have with the proper people who can hopefully put them into action. I hope to stay at CCS for a long while and eventually move into a more managerial position with more responsibilities. Right now, though, this category is mostly N/A for me.

TeamworkSTRENGTH (4)

I try to get to know everyone with whom I work, including aspects of their lives/qualities that are important to them, in an effort to connect. I am easy to talk to; eager to discuss ideas/concerns with coworkers. I strive to be a part of the team and not just a solo player. I hope I do this well.

AgilitySTRENGTH (4)

While there is room for improvement, I feel I am adaptable and able to respond to physical and emotional changes without getting flustered, worked up or stressed. This is one of my strengths. I am a calm personality who is very level-headed.

Goals

    1. To send out birthday and winter holiday cards to my ADs and DPs, as well as mid-summer cards to my DPs, for the 20/FA year in an effort to maintain student retention.
    1. To increase my DP number by 10% (6 students) for the 20/FA year by being vigilant with my communications, assisting high-performing students with necessary appeals, etc.
    1. To connect with at least 3 NEW Ohio schools I did not visit this past 19/FA year, either by getting into counseling offices or, preferably, art classrooms.
    1. To schedule at least 5 local meetups and 2 out-of-state meetups for the 20/FA year, in an effort to better connect with students, encourage/guide them on their work and put them at ease as they apply.

Accomplishments

    1. Increased the number of Ohio accepted students by 7 this year, and deposited students by 7 as well.
    1. Exceeded out-of-state school visit goal by 20 (15 required/35 visited), and in-state school visit goal by 7 (10 required/17 visited).
    1. Accomplished 55% conversion of APs to ADs and 36% conversion of ADs to DPs.
    1. Participated in 21 college fairs (most after regional recruiters) and arranged 6 Starbucks meetups. All local (senior) students with whom I met deposited.

Comments

I am planning to get more involved with MACAC, both by having joined their PD committee and requesting a mentor, and, by supporting me in this, you can help build my skills/feel fulfilled. I would like to learn about new PD opportunities as well to further build upon my current skill set.
