Supervisor Evaluation – Anne Beck

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Score Comment
Quality of Work STRENGTH (4)

I consider myself action oriented and full of energy for the projects I see that are challenging. I seize more opportunities than others based on my diverse professional background. I have a positive attitude and manage with confidence. I require little hand holding.

Dependability LEADING (5)

I am very dependable and trustworthy which I have demonstrated the last three years of employment at CCS. I am available 24×7 and pride myself on always making CCS a priority and being available and reliable.

Job Knowledge STRENGTH (4)

While I considered myself to be a subject matter expert in the security field, I am learning daily about my additional role as Director of Facilities.

Interactive/Effective Communication STRENGTH (4)

I consider myself a good listener to employees and engage at all levels of the college. I pro-actively communicate to my leader, teams and the CCS community. This is done with e-mail, staff meetings and department updates to the CCS community. I can get messages across that have the desired effect.

Emotional Intelligence STRENGTH (4)

I treat people the way I would expect to be treated. I lead by example. I can relate to all kinds of people, up, down, sideways, inside and outside of CCS. Everyday I have the opportunity to build more rapport with my team members. I have built constructive and effective relationships.

Management Ability STRENGTH (4)

I manage in a team format. I talk “we”, “us” and “team” versus I. I consider myself good at establishing clear direction for my teams. I have been working hard to get the facilities team to operate as one, not each campus individually. One Team One Mission.

Teamwork STRENGTH (4)

I feel I am seen as a direct, trustful individual. I can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner. Team members have come to me with personal issues and they know I will help them and keep it in confidence.

Agility LEADING (5)

Being a Director of two highly active operational areas of CCS you have to respond quickly and be able to change gears on the fly with out loosing momentum. I have demonstrated this ability in my current role.
