Supervisor Evaluation – Anne Beck

It is the College’s goal to annually evaluate the performance of each employee. The purpose of the evaluation process is to provide an opportunity for the supervisor and employee to review the prior year’s work performance. This process should include conversations related to the strengths and weaknesses in your employee’s performance, the development of future objectives, and your support and encouragement in assisting them to reach their full potential. The evaluation process helps to promote better communication between you and your employee, allows your employee input, and enables attention to be focused on job performance standards.  As you communicate the performance appraisal, your employee needs to understand performance expectations and your employee should be provided the opportunity to respond and discuss any issues that may arise.  Feedback concerning job satisfaction, career goals, and position responsibility are encouraged during the appraisal and throughout the year.

Quality of Work LEADING (5)

I take a lot of pride in all my work.I get a lot of complements from government officials, inspectors and contractors on how organized and well maintained the Taubman Center is. I often get positive feedback from CCS staff on the quality of work and professionalism from our department and myself.

Hundreds of people in this building depend on me and I manage it all with stride. This position requires 24/7 responsiveness and I always respond and find solutions whether I am at work or at home sleeping.

I know my job as well as all the facilities staff’s duties. I am extremely familiar with the Taubman Center and all of its systems. I am also continuously learning new equipment and practices.

This is something I practice several times an hour.

This environment is constantly changing and I have had no problem keeping up the pace.

Goals

    1. I would like to administer as many major projects as possible.

Accomplishments

    1. Managed 3 major construction projects: 3rd floor Cafe Project for HFA, 3rd floor U-Prep office buildout, and CCS storage area. All capital requests made by the academic departments need Facilites.
    1. When a car crashed through our building less than four weeks before our student show , I was able to get the site cleaned up and custom doors rebuilt in time for the show. I also had back-up plans.
    1. Student show is massive undertaking to organize and execute. So much preparation go into its organization on facilities end.
    1. I have saved CCS tens of thousands of dollars by doing as much trade work in-house as possible, such as the new water heater in the Cafe and the condenser pump inspections.
