Duplicate Modules and Activities on the Modules Page

If you would like to make a copy of an activity (assignment, discussion) you’ve already created, you can duplicate that item, or an entire module you’ve created, in order to save time. Follow the instructions here to duplicate activities or modules on your Canvas modules page. 

  1. On the Modules page, find the desired activity (assignment, discussion) or module (Welcome/Introduction, Week 1). 
  2. Click the Options (three vertical dots) icon to the right of the activity or module.
  3. Select Duplicate. 
  4. Once the copy appears, click and hold the drag handle (eight vertical dots) to the left of the copied item until a crosshair icon appears, then drag and drop the item to the desired location on the course. 
  5. For activities, click on the item to make edits.
