In the Canvas Global Navigation Menu, the Settings section is the main control center for your entire user account. This is where you manage the technical and functional aspects of your Canvas experience, such as setting your preferred language and time zone, adding alternative email addresses for contact, and, most importantly, customizing your Notification Preferences to control how and when you receive alerts. The Profile is a part of your user settings that controls your public-facing identity within your courses. It’s where you can add a profile picture, write a personal biography, and add web links, allowing instructors and classmates to get to know you.
