Category: New Analytics

Course Analytics is a built-in data tool in Canvas that allows instructors to visualize course performance and student engagement. It provides interactive charts and reports on average grades, weekly online student activity (like page views and participation), and assignment submissions. Instructors can use this data to quickly identify trends, filter by specific assignments, and run reports to find students with missing or late work.

A key feature for instructors is the ability to send targeted messages directly from the tool, allowing them to easily contact students based on performance criteria, such as those who have a low grade or haven’t participated recently.
