Canvas Commons is a digital library or repository built directly into Canvas, designed for instructors and educators. Think of it as a “search engine” for course materials.

Instructors can use it to find and import resources shared by other educators, either within their own institution or from around the world. These resources can be anything from a single quiz or assignment to a full course template or module.

It’s also a sharing platform. Instructors can share their own successful course materials to Commons for others to use, or they can share content privately with themselves to easily copy it to other courses they teach.
