Students are introduced to the traditional,principles of drawing from still images of,animals. Students will learn how to break an,image down into smaller shapes to draw more,accurate pictures.

Students will be introduced to the process of,product design, using inspiration from our field,trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts. Through,introduction to basic footwear design elements,,pattern creation and colorway creation, students,will create an ORIGINAL PRODUCT (footwear), with,patterns and colors based on their interpretation,of the inspiration pieces seen on the field trip.

This intro level course will have students work,to imporve their image making skills with digital,cameras and teach them to move those images into,Adobe Photoshop.
