WKSH-151 LIFE DRAWING – QUICK STUDIES

These one-day studio sessions are a great,opportunity for artists of all levels to brush up,on their figurative drawing skills. While using,single and multiple model poses, this session will,show students how to improve their observational,abilities and employ basic drawing principles to,achieve greater accuracy in capturing the model’s,gesture or expression. Students younger than 18,must have parental permission to take this course.,Bring a sketchbook (11×14 or larger is,recommended) and pencil or drawing charcoal.

Investigate the ancient art of felt making with,twenty-first century tools. Learn the techniques,used to make fabric by preparing layers of wool,and working them into felt. Learn to create 3D,objects such as slippers, hats and mittens as well,as 2D items such as scarves and floor covering.

Bring your open mind to learn more about the,three primary software packages in the Adobe,Creative Suite. Spend time in Adobe Photoshop,,Illustrator and InDesign learning the necessary,tools to advance your current skill level. Adobe,Bridge will also be reviewed to help you,understand the benefits of working across the,programs for more efficient work processes. Best,practices for a variety of output methods will,also be covered. All experience levels welcome.
