Try the exciting world of automotive photography,and learn tips of the trade from an industry,professional. Each week students will learn new,techniques, take photos of exotic and collectible,cars, and learn to enhance their images with,Adobe Photoshop®.

AVIS-323 LOW LIGHT AND NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY

Learn to shoot with little light and at night.,Students will meet on campus to present and,critique their work, and then will travel to,locations for on-site shooting and instruction.,Outdoor and indoor locations in Detroit will be,explored. Take this opportunity to learn a much,sought after skill and develop a body of work for,your portfolio at the same time. High Dyamic Range,(HDR) photography practice will also be introduced,through a related project assignment. Participants,must have access to a tripod, SLR camera and cable,release for the length of this course.

AVIS-387 GLASSBLOWING

In this beginning class students create,sculptural and designed objects out of glass.,First, students learn to make objects using,hot-working techniques including blowing,,sculpting and flameworking. Students will take,their glass forms into the cold shop where they,will learn to cut, grind and polish glass.

AYTH-019 DRAWING AND PAINTING

Students are introduced to a variety of drawing,and painting materials. Various art elements and,principles are explored. Self-expression and,experimentation are encouraged, as well as,structure and indvidual development. Students,are exposed to art history and its relationship,to drawing and painting. Sketching field trips,to the Detroit Institute of Arts will inspire ,students and expand their opportunities to make,art.
