This unique visual arts course will enable,students to participate in interdisciplinary art,experiences that will include hands-on art making,through visual art journals and investigations of,traditional art mediums and methods, group,discussions of contemporary artists and the chance,to engage the imagination. In this course students,will give themselves permission to create under,the title of MAKER.

This course will focus primarily on drawing tools,,materials (dry & wet) and surfaces. Some of the,tools and materials are very old and traditional,while others are newly developed and manufactured.,Drawing is fundamental to human communication that,predates written language. It first used to,inform, note observations and as a visual planning,method from which things are built or visuals,presented in a final form such as painting,,sculpture, or drawing.
