When done well, television commercials are much,like miniature movies, compressing creative,selling, sophisticated humor, even compelling,drama into a mere 30 seconds. This course,illuminates the power of the medium by carefully,examining great television commercials and,provides students with the working knowledge,necessary to actually create them. The course –,taught by a professional advertising writer –,covers conceptual development, the writing of,voice over and dialogue, storyboarding, coaching,talent, filming, editing and all aspects of final,production. It is a comprehensive approach to,making 30 second movies that may last a lifetime,in the minds of television viewers.

AGRC-340 INDESIGN II: INTERACTIVE ELEMENTS

This course is for students who already have an,understanding of InDesign. Emphasis is on more,complicated multi-page compositions and layouts,,exporting files for print and interactive digital,formats. Students will be working with the,interactive tools of the program, interfacing,with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat,,Flash, and Dreamweaver and publishing a book to,E-pub. Participants must have a working knowledge,of Macintosh computers and basic InDesign® skills.

During this one-day workshop students will learn,to work with the magical material of glass to,create colorful sculptures. Students will learn,basic techniques for solid sculpting glass and,applying transparent color. All pieces will be,ready for pick-up on Sunday, October 31.

Footwear design is one of the most exciting parts,of any fashion house. In this creative design,workshop, you will learn interesting historical,facts about shoes. You will also be given tools,on how to reach for your inner shoe designer and,how to express your creativity on paper. ,Previous knowledge or skills are not required,,but one thing is essential: the love of shoes.
