This designation honors adjunct faculty who have demonstrated a commitment to student learning, program development, and the mission of the College for Creative Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An adjunct faculty member may be considered for Adjunct Faculty Distinguished Service Status upon meeting the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A minimum of twenty (20) years of service as an adjunct faculty member at the College, with teaching occurring in at least one academic term per year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of sustained excellence in teaching and student engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated contributions to the department, program development, or broader College community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A record of professionalism and alignment with institutional values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjunct faculty do not need to be actively teaching at the time of nomination but must be in good standing with the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Recommendations for Adjunct Faculty Distinguished Service Status should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A summary of teaching history at CCS (courses taught, years of service)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A statement of contributions and achievements during the faculty member\u2019s tenure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department Chair initiates and submits the recommendation to the Faculty Review Committee. If endorsed, the recommendation is forwarded to the appropriate Dean. Upon the Dean\u2019s approval, the recommendation is submitted to the President. Final approval is granted by the Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recognitions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Conferral of Adjunct Faculty Distinguished Service Status includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A formal certificate recognizing the designation, signed by the President and Board Chair<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognition at an appropriate institutional event, as determined by the President (e.g., faculty gathering, or special recognition ceremony)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inclusion in official College communications or publications, as appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Benefits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjunct Faculty Distinguished Service Status is an honorary designation. Benefits are intended to recognize contributions while reflecting the adjunct role. Benefits may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Continued access to CCS email (as appropriate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Photo identification card indicating Distinguished Service Status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continued listing on the CCS website (as appropriate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to campus, including parking at both Ford and Taubman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to the CCS Imaging Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Library access and borrowing privileges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invitation to participate in Commencement ceremonies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invitations to select College events (e.g., exhibitions, lectures, community gatherings)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bookstore discount<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition discount on CCS course(s) subject to course availability and space<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Benefits are granted at the discretion of the College and may be modified over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Criteria for Tuition Discount<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Adjunct Faculty Distinguished Service recipients may be eligible for limited tuition discount for non-matriculating coursework under the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tuition is discounted for up to one (1) course per academic year, subject to course availability and space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The individual is responsible for all registration fees and course-related expenses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration must occur in accordance with established College procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to complete registration and payment of applicable fees may result in removal from the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adjunct Faculty Distinguished Service Status is conferred in recognition of sustained, high-quality teaching and meaningful contributions to the College through annual service over a &hellip;
