{"id":260,"date":"2017-09-08T00:00:14","date_gmt":"2017-09-08T04:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/policy\/?p=260"},"modified":"2022-10-18T14:34:25","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T18:34:25","slug":"monitoring-student-attendance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/policy\/monitoring-student-attendance\/","title":{"rendered":"Monitoring Student Attendance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CCS must record and monitor student attendance during the first two weeks of classes to document that a student actually began attendance in all classes that contributed to the enrollment status of that student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to meet this requirement and be in compliance with U.S. Department of Education regulations, faculty must record attendance during each class period and Academic Affairs must monitor attendance records every day for the first fourteen days of the semester. This requirement applies all classes, on campus, online, internships, and independent study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"ccs-policy-subheading wp-block-heading\">Procedure: Monitoring Faculty Student Attendance Records<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"ccs-policy-subheading wp-block-heading\">First Fourteen Days of the Semester<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Each morning the Daily Missing Attendance Report (Informer) is automatically generated and emailed to the Graduate and Undergraduate Coordinators.<\/li><li>The Coordinators will review the report to ensure that all faculty have recorded the attendance of each student on the course roster.<\/li><li>Faculty who have not recorded attendance receive an email from the Graduate and\/or Undergraduate Executive Assistants with a copy to the appropriate Dean, Department Chairperson, Program Manager, and Provost indicating  (1) the Office of Academic Affairs is aware attendance has not been recorded within the fourteen days, and (2) the faculty member must rectify the situation by the end of the day.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CCS must record and monitor student attendance during the first two weeks of classes to document that a student actually began attendance in all &hellip;
