To receive need-based financial assistance from the College, students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be accepted for enrollment in a degree program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/policy\/satisfactory-academic-progress-requirements-undergraduate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours (for Direct Loans)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be registered with Selective Service (or be exempt)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not owe a refund on previous Title IV funds received or be in default on any federal student loan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, visit www.studentaid.gov<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CCS also awards scholarships based on merit. Students may qualify for these scholarships based on the strength of their admission composite score (portfolio, GPA and test scores) at the time of admittance to the College. No additional application is required for these scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students receiving tuition assistance from their employers will have their tuition scholarship reduced accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading ccs-policy-subheading\">Duration of Eligibility for Undergraduate Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Full-time students may receive financial aid for a maximum of six years (12 semesters) of full-time awards. Half-time students are eligible for a maximum of 12 years (24 semesters) of half-time awards. Some federal and state awards may have a lower maximum number of years for both full-time and part-time enrollment. Contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for Title IV funds, a student must be a regular student as defined in&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasfaa.org\/Part_600_Institutional_Eligibility#suba6002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">34 CFR 600.2<\/a>&nbsp;of the Institutional Eligibility regulations. A regular student is defined as: \u201cA person who is enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an institution for the purpose of obtaining a degree, certificate, or other recognized educational credential offered by that institution.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, the school cannot award federal Title IV aid for credit hours\/course work that will not count towards the completion of that student&#8217;s degree program requirements (or otherwise result in a degree, certificate, or credential).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Contact the Office of Financial Aid for more
