Pack External Data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to: File > External Data > Pack Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

All render outputs must use relative paths<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is your sandbox<\/strong>\u2014organize and manage it as you like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maya Checklist<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Relative Paths<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All textures, references, caches, or external files must use relative paths<\/strong> (relative to your Maya project).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use the File Path Editor<\/strong> to edit these easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paths should begin with: ..\/<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n

Render Globals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set all render settings properly inside the Maya file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The render farm will use these settings as-is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure your output directory<\/strong> is relative (this is the default).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copy to R:\\ Drive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a folder on the R:\\ drive<\/strong> with your username<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copy your entire Maya project<\/strong> to this folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is your sandbox<\/strong>\u2014organize and manage it as you like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submitting to the Render Farm<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Open CCS Render Farm (via Start Menu)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

  • File<\/strong>: Blender or Maya file to render (must be on R:\\ drive)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Project (Maya only)<\/strong>: Maya project directory (must be on R:\\ drive)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Output (Maya)<\/strong>: Directory for renders (must be on R:\\ drive)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Output (Blender)<\/strong>: Derived from the .blend<\/code> file<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Start Frame<\/strong>: First frame in sequence<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • End Frame<\/strong>: Last frame in sequence<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Priority<\/strong>: Admin use only<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Dedicated Workers<\/strong>: Check this if you don\u2019t want frames interrupted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Click Submit<\/strong>\u2014your job will enter the render queue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Render Job Management<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

    Your job will appear in the UI with its current status.<\/p>\n\n\n

    While running, the Frames panel<\/strong> shows progress for each frame.<\/p>\n\n\n

    When complete (or failed), the job status updates and you\u2019ll get an email notification<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

    Pause | Resume | Retry | Delete jobs as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n

    Double-Click Actions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Job<\/strong>: Opens the output directory (for Blender, it opens the folder containing the .blend<\/code> file).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Frame<\/strong>: Opens the render log (check this first if a frame fails).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Important<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Copy finished renders to your SSD immediately<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Do NOT rely on the R:\\ drive for long-term storage.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
