CCS provides access to approved software applications through Apporto, a virtual desktop environment that allows you to use campus applications from your own computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Follow the steps below to get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Open your web browser and visit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
https:\/\/ccsdetroit.apporto.com\/home<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Click the Log In<\/strong> button to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re not already signed in, you’ll be directed to the CCS login portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Enter your CCS username and password to continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once you’ve successfully signed in, you’ll be taken to the Apporto home page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the Apporto home page, locate and click the LAUNCH<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This will open a virtual Windows desktop environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please note:<\/strong> Windows is currently the only virtual desktop environment available through Apporto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After clicking LAUNCH, allow a few moments for your virtual desktop to load. Once it’s ready, you’ll see a familiar Windows desktop. If this is your first time using Apporto, you’ll have the option to take a guided tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This tour is a great way to become familiar with the virtual desktop and its features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once you’re ready, simply select any of the available applications on the desktop to begin working with CCS-approved software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To make it easier to access and save your work, we recommend connecting your CCS Google Drive using Cloud Mounter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once connected, you’ll be able to access your Google Drive files and save your work directly to your CCS Google Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Important:<\/strong> We recommend saving your work to Google Drive rather than relying on files stored on the virtual desktop. This helps ensure your work remains accessible after you end your session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Apporto includes Portia<\/strong>, a virtual assistant available to help answer common questions about the portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re unsure where to find something or need a little guidance navigating Apporto, Portia is a great place to start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That’s it!
