You will manually add the colors back in by painting on Spot Channels. <em>This can be time-consuming if you have a detailed color image.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Change your mode to Grayscale<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-list\"><ul class=\"advgblist-0a771823-3e55-4713-9bbf-e23625efcb9a advgb-list advgb-list-controls-play\"><li>Menu Bar &gt; Image &gt; Mode &gt; Grayscale\u00a0<\/li><li>Click OK through the \u201cDiscard other channels?\u201d warning. This process will also flatten your layers.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Your piece will be in black and white without any color information. You should only have one Gray channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Change your mode to Multi-channel<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-list\"><ul class=\"advgblist-14a8892e-11b0-4ab6-b682-090fb25b2aac advgb-list advgb-list-controls-play\"><li>Menu Bar &gt; Image &gt; Mode &gt; Multichannel<\/li><li>Click OK through the \u201cFlatten layers?\u201d warning. I would suggest re-setting your black point using Curves:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Menu Bar &gt; Imaging &gt; Adjustments &gt; Curves<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Select the black point dropper and click on the darkest point in your image.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Add a second (or third or fourth) spot color as desired for your piece:<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-list\"><ul class=\"advgblist-0a6aa754-f5cb-467f-a070-6a9d0829d78d advgb-list advgb-list-controls-play\"><li>Go to the Channels menu panel.<\/li><li>Select \u201cNew Spot Channel\u2026\u201d from the drop-down menu.<\/li><li>Use the eyedropper to select your desired spot color from the Riso swatches panel.
