This will activate live subtitles.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the Show captions button is not visible, click on the <strong>More<\/strong> button next to it. Select <strong>Captions<\/strong> from the pop-up menu. A new window will appear to the right with the full transcript as it happens live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional settings for subtitles and live transcript can be found via the <strong>^<\/strong> caret icon near the <strong>Show\/Hide captions<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"requested-by-others\">Live Transcriptions Requested by Others<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Live transcription may also be requested anonymously by a Zoom meeting participant, in which case the host will be prompted with the following options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enable:<\/strong> Enables live transcription for use of anyone in the meeting or webinar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decline:<\/strong> Declines this request to have live transcription enabled. Other participants will be able to make their own requests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decline and don&#8217;t ask again:<\/strong> Declines this and all future requests to have live transcription enabled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The full transcript can be saved by clicking the <strong>Save transcript<\/strong> button at the bottom of the <strong>Transcript<\/strong> window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"limitations\">Limitations of Live Transcriptions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are some limitations to live transcription which may result in poor transcription. The following may affect the transcription:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Background noise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volume and clarity of the speaker&#8217;s voice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speaker&#8217;s proficiency with the English language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lexicons and dialects specific to a geography or community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of these limitations, if you are required to use speech-to-text support for any compliance or accessibility needs in your meetings and webinars, we recommend using a manual captioner or service that may be able to guarantee a specific accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> You can only assign one participant or third-party service to provide closed captioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"additional-resources\">Additional Resources<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.com\/hc\/en\/article?id=zm_kb&amp;sysparm_article=KB0062490\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.com\/hc\/en\/article?id=zm_kb&amp;sysparm_article=KB0062490\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Managing manual captions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Transcription is a great way to share your course meeting information, and Zoom allows users to automate this process.
