These can be used as a self-check for your students. However, there is no connection to the Canvas Gradebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"#adding-a-fill-in-the-blank-to-a-content-page\">Adding a Fill-in-the-Blank to a Content Page<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#content-panel\">Content Panel<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#style-panel\">Style Panel<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#advanced-panel\">Advanced Panel<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#additional-resources\">Additional Resources<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"adding-a-fill-in-the-blank-to-a-content-page\">Adding a Fill-in-the-Blank to a Content Page<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While editing content in your Canvas course, launch the DesignPLUS Sidebar by clicking on the \ud83d\ude80 <strong>rocket ship icon<\/strong> at the top right corner of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alternatively, press <strong>Alt\/Option + Shift + D<\/strong> on your keyboard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Place your cursor in the RCE (Rich Content Editor) where you want to add the Fill-in-the-Blank interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the DesignPLUS Sidebar, click on the \u2795 <strong>Add New Elements<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the <strong>Fill-in-the-Blank<\/strong> button (found under the <strong>Interactive Exercises<\/strong>, <strong>Page Information<\/strong>, or <strong>Recently Used Tools<\/strong> headings).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alternatively, use the <strong>Search<\/strong> textbox to search for <strong>Fill-in-the-Blank<\/strong>. DesignPLUS will show results in real-time. This is by design.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"#content-panel\">Content Panel<\/a> in the DesignPLUS Sidebar provides tools to fully manage the answers below your question. You can use it to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add or remove answer blanks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make answers dragable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All text shown below can be edited directly in the RCE, but it is highly recommended you use the <a href=\"#content-panel\">Content Panel<\/a> to edit the answer blanks. You can manage your answer blanks using the following controls:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Clear text:<\/strong> Click the \u274c icon to remove all text from a specific textbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Delete a blank:<\/strong> Click the \ud83d\uddd1\ufe0f trashcan icon to completely remove an answer blank from your question.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add a blank:<\/strong> Click the <strong>\u2795 Blank<\/strong> button to insert a new blank into your question. Type the incorrect choices you want students to see into these textboxes.
