Quick Views can be saved so that you don&#8217;t have to re-create them over and over again. Quick Views settings (not the actual data) can also be shared with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Cidiscape, the concept of Quick Views and Batches [see <a href=\"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/ed-tech\/adding-batches-in-cidiscape-for-department-chairs-and-program-managers\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4782\">Adding Batches in Cidiscape (for Department Chairs and Program Managers)<\/a>] can be confusing. Think of it like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Batch:<\/strong> The <strong>&#8220;Who&#8221;<\/strong> (The actual list of courses being scanned).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quick View:<\/strong> The <strong>&#8220;What&#8221;<\/strong> (A saved filter that determines <em>which columns<\/em> of data you see for those courses, such as &#8220;Accessibility Scores&#8221; or &#8220;DesignPLUS Usage&#8221;).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-infobox advgb-infobox-wrapper has-text-align-left advgb-infobox-0f425cf1-ecfb-49c7-bec6-9d143b7e28de\"><div class=\"advgb-infobox-wrap\"><div class=\"advgb-infobox-icon-container\"><div class=\"advgb-infobox-icon-inner-container\"><i class=\"material-icons-outlined\">remove_red_eye<\/i><\/div><\/div><div class=\"advgb-infobox-textcontent\"><h3 class=\"advgb-infobox-title\">The &#8220;Lens&#8221; Analogy<\/h3><p class=\"advgb-infobox-text\">Think of the <strong>Batch<\/strong> as the<strong> Landscape<\/strong> (the courses you are looking at) and the <strong>Quick View<\/strong> as the <strong>Binoculars<\/strong> (the specific lens you use to look at them). You can also click on the \u2b50 <strong>star<\/strong> icon next to a Quick View name to mark it as a favorite. In this guide, we&#8217;ll first look a creating a Quick View, and then we&#8217;ll look at creating a Filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating a Quick View<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the <strong>New Quick View<\/strong> screen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter a <strong>Name<\/strong> for your new Quick View in the <strong>Enter Quick View Title<\/strong> text box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optional:<\/strong> Click on the <strong>Share<\/strong> toggle switch to share your Quick View settings (not the data) with others. You can create a filter at the same time you are creating your Quick View. But, you can also add a filter to a Quick View at a later time by clicking on the name of your Quick View.
