It is critical that you publish your course(s) in Canvas so students can access them. Publishing your course(s) makes your course content available to students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to Canvas, and select a course you wish to publish.\n
      \n
    • You can also click on Courses<\/strong> >> All Courses<\/strong> to see all of your courses on one screen and which of those are published or not.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • From the course Home<\/strong> page, under Course Status<\/strong>, click on \ud83d\udeab Unpublished<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Select \u2705 Publish<\/strong> from the drop-down list.\n

      • If the course is already published but does not have any student submissions, the Course Status<\/strong> will show Published<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • To unpublish a course, click on \u2705 Published<\/strong>, and then select \ud83d\udeab Unpublish<\/strong> from the drop-down list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • If the course is already published and has student submissions, the Course Status<\/strong> indicator will not be visible. Courses that have student submissions cannot be unpublished.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

        Alternatively, from the Canvas Dashboard, you can publish courses that are displayed at the bottom of the screen under the Unpublished Courses<\/strong> heading. Click the Publish<\/strong> button to publish a course.<\/p>\n\n\n

        Students will be able to see their courses on the Canvas Dashboard once you have published them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
