New and updated functionality is enabled in this environment on the date previously announced in the <a href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/t5\/Canvas-Releases\/tkb-p\/canvas-release\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/t5\/Canvas-Releases\/tkb-p\/canvas-release\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canvas Release Notes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Production releases take place on the third&nbsp;Saturday of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CCS Canvas Production Environment URL: <a href=\"https:\/\/collegeforcreativestudies.instructure.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/collegeforcreativestudies.instructure.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"test-environment\">Test Environment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructors can use the <strong>Test<\/strong> environment to do any testing of Canvas functionality in their courses without disturbing any content, student grades\/submissions, etc. within the <strong>Production<\/strong> environment. Any changes you make to your courses in the <strong>Test<\/strong> environment do not carry over to the <strong>Production<\/strong> environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Test<\/strong> environment inherits new and updated features added to the <strong>Production<\/strong> environment on Monday after the production release. The <strong>Test<\/strong> environment is updated every third Saturday of the month to align with the production release. This code is available in the <strong>Production<\/strong> environment approximately one month later, pending customer feedback and QA testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if Instructure announced a new feature for assignments, the feature would first be available in the <strong>Beta<\/strong> environment for instructors and Canvas administrators to try out. Feedback (positive or negative) about the new feature can be submitted within the Release Notes prior to it being pushed to the <strong>Production<\/strong> environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Beta<\/strong> environment is refreshed with data from the <strong>Production<\/strong> environment every Saturday.
