The Registrar will verify degree program completion of eligible students and \u201cgraduate\u201d those who have applied for graduation. This is reflected in the student\u2019s academic record and will display as \u201cgraduated\u201d under the completed program. Graduating students are invited to participate in the commencement ceremony<a href=\"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/academic-advising\/graduation-and-diploma-information\/#pandemic\">*<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students must be enrolled at CCS in the final semester planned for graduation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Important! View&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/policy\/graduation-requirements\/\">Graduation Requirements<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/policy\/residency-requirement\/\">Residency Requirement<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students are notified by email when Graduation Applications are available<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications must be submitted to the Academic Advising &amp; Registration Office by listed deadlines (see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/academic-advising\/academic-calendar\/\">Academic Calendar<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Graduation is verified at the end of each academic semester. Students may graduate from CCS in December, May or August.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions about graduation requirements should be directed to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/student-resources\/student-services\/advising-and-registration\">Academic Advising and Registration Office<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:13136647672\">313.664.7672<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:aaro@collegeforcreativestudies.edu\">aaro@ccsdetroit.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Diploma Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diplomas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CCS Diplomas are printed to acknowledge the degree of higher education earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Student&#8217;s Name<\/strong>. This is the diploma name entered on the graduation application. Chosen\/Preferred names may be used on diplomas (note: legal names will appear on final transcripts supplied after graduation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Degree awarded<\/strong>. The level of degree earned (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Masters of Fine Arts, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Honors\/Distinction<\/strong>. Level of honors\/distinction is indicated on the diploma to acknowledge academic achievements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diploma Mailing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Please be sure the correct mailing address is on file in the Academic Advising &amp; Registration Office (AARO). Students may indicate the diploma mailing address on the graduation application via Self-Service and\/or contact the Academic Advising and Registration Office to make arrangements on where to mail the diploma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must double their graduation application &#8220;Diploma Name&#8221; entry to verify submissions are correct!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diploma Replacement Form<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent graduates and Alumni may request a replacement copy of their diploma for a fee paid to the Business Services Office at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:busserv@collegeforcreativestudies.edu\">busserv@ccsdetroit.edu<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:13136647435\">313.664.7435<\/a>; Monday \u2013 Friday, 9:00am \u2013 4:00pm. Replacement diplomas are printed three times a year in December, May, or August.<br>Submit the Diploma Replacement form and payment confirmation number to the AARO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Commencement<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CCS Commencement Ceremony is a celebratory event to confer degrees or diplomas for graduating students. Commencement ceremonies are organized by the Student Affairs Office.
