{"id":4166,"date":"2024-08-06T19:59:27","date_gmt":"2024-08-06T23:59:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/catalog\/?page_id=4166"},"modified":"2024-08-06T20:22:06","modified_gmt":"2024-08-07T00:22:06","slug":"registration-new-students","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/campus.collegeforcreativestudies.edu\/catalog\/registration-new-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration &#8211; New Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preregistration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>New admitted students who have deposited for enrollment into to a CCS degree program or for the post baccalaureate (TC) program for Art Education are preregistered for their first semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students are only registerd for required courses of their admitted program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer credits that have been confirmed are considered when schedules are created.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students with missing college transfer or other credit placement at the time of preregistration are required to submit missing transcripts and\/or test scores upon immediate availability for accurate schedule adjustments. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advising &amp; Registration &#8211; Undergraduate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All new\/incoming undergraduate students will attend the<strong> required Academic Advising &amp; Registration Session for New Students<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Summer sessions take place in June\/July for Fall registration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October sessions take place for Winter registration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advising &amp; Registration &#8211; Graduate and TC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduate and TC students will attend a <strong>required Academic Advising &amp; Registration meeting <\/strong>with the Graduate\/TC student Advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Indidvidual Appointments are scheduled May &#8211; July for Fall registration and in October for Winter registration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registration Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All New Students are required to complete the following for registration of an academic semester:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Program Acknowledgement and Tuition\/Registration Agreement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit Emergency Contact Information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify Contact\/Student Profile Information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend the required Academic Advising &amp; Registration Session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To maintain registered credits, students must review and confirm their program and class schedules during Advising &amp; Registration sessions. Students are informed of program requirements, degree timelines and methods for schedules and program change options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule Changes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After students have attended an Advising &amp; Registration session, students have access to adjust day\/time offerings online in Self-Service. Students are guided to follow-up with their CCS Academic Advisor by appointment to review further changes and\/or questions regarding their major. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Self-Service Notifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Preregisterd students will see notifications in Self-Service regarding requirements for registration and\/or for enrollment records (i.e., missing transcripts, student holds, etc)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Withdraw decision to attend<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registered Students<\/strong> <strong>with confirmed schedules<\/strong> who do not plan on attending CCS must contact the Academic Advising &amp; Registration Office to request an &#8220;incoming student withdrawal&#8221;, prior to the start of the semester. <em>Registration, Tuition and withdrawal policies apply for all scheduled courses.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preregisterd Students who have not confirmed schedules<\/strong> <strong>and have not attended the required Advising\/Registration session<\/strong>, risk being removed from courses prior to the start of the semester. Students may request to reregister after a withdrawal by contacting the Academic Advising &amp; Registration Office (313.664.7672). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*All academic and registration policies are provided in the college catalog and general registration\/tuition policies are viewable in the Self-Service student agreements sections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<strong>All registered students are required to attend New Student Orientation during the month of August<\/strong>.
