During this one-day workshop students will learn,to work with the magical material of glass to,create colorful sculptures. Students will learn,basic techniques for solid sculpting glass and,applying transparent color. All pieces will be,ready for pick-up on Sunday, October 31.

The study of the human body is a,strong foundation for formal, conceptual and,expressive artistic explorations. Portraiture and,anatomical figure studies will accompany,instruction in armature building, modeling, mold,making, casting, and patina techniques.,The goal of the course is to strengthen your,visual translational capacity.

Learn to capture the essence and character of a,model by studying portrait-painting techniques.,Working in oil and/or acrylic paints, learn to use,tonal values to develop forms that reflect the,proportions of the human head, torso and hands.,Participants shoudl have basic drawing and,painting skills. Bring a sketchbook, pencil,,kneaded eraser,canvas, brushes, palette and paints,to the first class.
